  • No contract and no notice period. Cancel by text.
  • One trade per town.

1. Who we are

Wendy is a trading name of Black Swan Influence Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 11837421), registered office 61/63 Stanley Road, Bootle, L20 7BZ. “We” and “us” means Black Swan Influence Ltd. “You” means the business using Wendy. These terms apply when you sign up for Wendy, and when you use this website.

2. What Wendy does

Wendy is office help for your business. Working to the rules you give her, she:

  • answers calls diverted to her from your phone, and puts urgent ones through to you or texts you
  • rings back missed calls, voicemails, website forms and lead-site jobs forwarded to her, and texts if there’s no answer
  • chases quotes by call, text or WhatsApp until there’s an answer
  • books, rebooks and moves jobs in your diary
  • keeps the book, and messages you on WhatsApp, including a list each morning
  • screens out spam and sales calls

She doesn’t find you work, give prices, or promise any customer will go ahead. She works with the calls and messages your business already gets.

3. Price and payment

Wendy is £99 a month, paid monthly in advance by card, starting on the day you sign up. Your price never goes up for as long as you stay. There are no tiers, upgrades or extra charges, and we never take a cut of your jobs.

4. The 3 Jobs Promise

If Wendy hasn’t booked you 3 jobs in the 30 days after she goes live, we’ll refund your first month’s £99, and you keep every job she did book.

  • A booked job is a customer booked into your diary for a date and time, for work you do. Every one is in the book.
  • The 30 days start when she goes live, not when you pay.
  • To claim, text her or email hello@heywendy.co.uk within 14 days of the 30 days ending.

5. One trade per town

While you’re with Wendy, we won’t set her up for another business in the same trade in your town. We agree what your trade and town cover with you when you sign up.

6. Cancelling

There’s no contract and no notice period. Cancel any time by texting Wendy or emailing us. We won’t take another payment after you cancel, and Wendy keeps working until the end of the month you’ve paid for. We’ll help you switch your call diverts off.

We can end the service if you seriously break these terms, for example by using Wendy for anything unlawful, and we’ll tell you why.

7. Your part

  • Give Wendy accurate rules, and keep them up to date.
  • Use her for your own business’s calls and messages, and nothing unlawful.
  • Tell your customers how you handle their details, as the law requires.

8. Your customers’ details

You own your customers. For their personal data, you’re the controller and we’re your processor, as explained in our privacy notice. We only use it to run Wendy for you.

9. Fair use

Wendy is built for one business’s own calls and messages. If your use goes far beyond that of a normal trade business, for example reselling her or using her for bulk marketing, we’ll talk to you before anything changes.

10. Keeping her running

We work to keep Wendy answering every hour of the week. Occasionally she may need maintenance, or a supplier such as a phone network may have a fault. When that happens, we fix it as fast as we can.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Otherwise, we’re not liable for lost profits, lost jobs or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. This website

The words, design and images on this website belong to us. You’re welcome to read them and share links to them. Please don’t copy them for your own business. The trade quotes on this site are public posts by tradespeople, credited to where they were posted, and aren’t reviews of Wendy.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell existing customers before the change applies to them. Your price is never part of any change.

14. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
